mal_green_sm.jpgThere is quite a bit happening in the international and local surfing scene at the moment. The world championship tours is coming into its last leg, with two childhood mates wrestling for the honour of world champion. Mick Fanning and Joel Parkinson, both from the sunny gold coast of Australia are the two top seeds for the last event at Pipeline, Hawaii at the end of the year.

Although my remarks were mostly meant as tongue-in-cheek, they were taken seriously by many; and I do regret any offence I may have caused.

mal_green_sm.jpgTHE first Blossom Canola Fun Surf Series event took place last weekend with over 125 surfers representing 40 schools within KZN. Bay of Plenty was the host for the Durban contest, with kids as young as seven years riding. It’s awe-inspiring to see youngster competing in events such as these.
