WHAT: KZN SURFING CHAMPS 2019 hosted by Ugu Surfriders
WHERE: St Mike’s Beach – St Michaels on Sea
WHEN: Saturday 30th November and Sunday 1st December 2019 Possible spill over into Friday afternoon 29th November 2019
ENTRIES: Surfers from districts outside of KZN are NOT eligible to enter the KZN Champs. 2019 KZN Champions to be crowned in each age division Surfers may only surf in their correct age division and if wanting to surf a second division - in the OPEN division

DISTRICTS: Ethekweni (Central Durban) Illembe (North Coast) Ugu (South Coast) King Cetshwayo (Zululand)
AFFILIATES: Surfers who have already affiliated to a district for 2019 must represent the district they are affiliated to in 2019. Surfers who have not affiliated to any district must choose one of the above districts to surf for and apply for a temporary affiliation for the event.
COST: R220.00 per entry plus R80.00 temp affiliation
TEAM TROPHY: Districts may enter as many surfers in all divisions as possible. The surfers with the highest results (points) in each division (as per the table below) will be included in the overall totals. Districts to please follow up and ensure that the 2018 winners return their floating trophies (List to be sent out soon)

- U 10 Boys - Top 4 to count
- U12 Boys - Top 4 to count

- U18 Boys - Top 4 to count
- OPEN MEN - Top 6 to count
- MASTERS MEN (35+) - Top 4 to count
- GRAND MASTERS MEN (45+) - Top 3 to count

- U10 Girls - Top 2 to count
- U12 Girls - Top 2 to count
- U14 Girls - Top 2 to count
- U16 Girls - Top 2 to count

- OPEN LADIES - Top 4 to count
- MASTERS LADIES (30+) - Top 1 to count
TAG TEAM: Club Tag Event ( Possibly an inter district tag event (3 x male and 3x female ) if time allows)
PRIZES: Hurricane has come on board! We will be offering cash prizes in the Open men and Women (equal prize money). We will try source product prizes for the other divisions, and we will have 1st – 4th Place medals on offer.
PRIZE GIVING: SUNDAY 1 DEC – to be held after the last final at the beach.
LIVE SCORING: Will take place at the comp & priority system (Live heats)
JUDGES: Wade Botha will be putting together a panel from the entire KZN region, we have a large pool of experienced and professional contest officials.
Surfers that have not yet surfed for any district in 2019 must please choose where they want to surf as their points will help this district towards winning the coveted KZN CHAMPS TEAM CUP for 2019.
